Public Speaking for Candidates
 
Sponsored and subsidized by the Indiana Federation of Democratic Women, Public Speaking for Candidates will take place Saturday, June 19, 2010 in the Public Library in Fishers, Indiana.
 
Starting time is 9:00 a.m. and the fee is $15.00.  Reservations are required and may be made by calling Barbara McKinney at 812-265-5979.
 
Laurel Vartabedian, the workshop leader/trainer, holds a Ph.D. in Communication, with an emphasis in Political Rhetoric, from the University of Oklahoma.  She has taught public speaking, argumentation, rhetorical analysis, oral interpretation and persuasion at the college level, most recently at Western Carolina University.
 
Laurel is now a resident of St. Joseph, Missouri, where her husband, Dr. Bob Vartabedian, is president of Western Missouri State University.
